Professor Alireza Ashori Appointed Secretary of 39th Khwarizmi International Award
The Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, H.E. Dr. Seyed Hossein Simaei, has appointed Professor Alireza Ashori, President of the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST), as the secretary of the 39th Khwarizmi International Award (KIA). In this role, Professor Ashori will lead and oversee the organization and execution of this prestigious science event.
Founded in 1987, the Khwarizmi International Award recognizes outstanding contributions by researchers, innovators, and inventors from around the world, highlighting significant advances in science and technology. The award enjoys the support of numerous international organizations, including WIPO, UNESCO, UNIDO, APCTT, TWAS, COMSATS, and COMSTECH.
The 39th KIA ceremony is scheduled for February 2026 and will honor laureates in a high-profile event attended by the President of Iran, senior government officials, and leading scientists.
