IROST Advances Agricultural Education with Plant Nutrition Course
On September 3, 2025, the specialized training course "Greenhouse Plant Nutrition Management" was held to upgrade the technical knowledge and practical capabilities of greenhouse specialists in Tehran Province at the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST).
This specialized course was attended by about 40 active greenhouse specialists in Tehran Province.
Dr. Mehran Rezaei, IROST’s faculty member and head of the Smart Greenhouse Technology Center, served as the instructor, sharing knowledge and experience.
The topics covered in this course included key and practical syllabus items in the field of greenhouse plant nutrition, presented as follows:

- - The importance and position of greenhouses in Iran and their current status.
- - Introduction to important and high-yield greenhouse products.
- - Accurate identification of deficiency symptoms of primary nutrients in major greenhouse crops.
- - Practical solutions and principled nutritional programs to improve growth and performance of plants.
- - Training and explanation of important and effective foliar spraying techniques.

These courses will play an effective role in updating the knowledge and skills of specialists and ultimately increasing productivity in the country’s greenhouse industry.
