Cornmeal 50.0 g

Agar 7.5 g

Add cornmeal to distilled water and bring volume to 800 ml. Leave overnight in refrigerator. Heat to 60°C for 1 hr. Bring volume to 1.0 L with distilled water. Add agar. Gently heat and bring to boiling. Autoclave for 15 min at 121°C. Pour into sterile petri dishes or distribute into sterile tubes.
