Mechanical Engineering Institute is one of the first research institutes formed since the establishment of Scientific and Industrial Research Organization of Iran. The implementation of research and semi-industrial projects in the fields required by the country's industry, holding specialized training courses, providing research-oriented postgraduate courses, and guiding student theses at the master's and doctoral levels are among the main activities of this research institute.
